Project Engineer – Civil Works, Geotechnical, and Military projects

Description

Full-time engineering position to support Civil Works, Geotechnical, and Military projects and programs. Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates a variety of project tasks. Assist in the preparation and review of project plans, data, studies, reports, and specifications.  Performs work which involves conventional engineering practices but may involve a variety of complex features, field work, and working with other engineering disciplines. Requires general familiarity with basic principles and practices in related specialties.

 Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or Geotechnical Engineering preferred) or closely related engineering field from an ABET accredited engineering program.  Current Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred. At minimum, the ability to obtain PE registration is required. Graduate school a plus. This position may have locational flexibility including Kevil, Kentucky, Kansas City, Missouri, and Galveston, Texas. Some travel related to meetings with clients, stakeholders, research, and field work will be required. Some international travel may be required. Should have experience with several of the following computer programs (AutoCad, Project, ArcGIS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat).

 A successful applicant will have 5-10 years’ experience in Civil and/or Geotechnical Engineering. Preference will be given to applicants with geotechnical or hydrological focus/experience. Experience related to flood damage and risk management, project planning, design and construction (i.e. dams, levees, channels), shoreline and stream bank erosion protection and eco-restoration projects a plus.  Federal programs experience a plus. 

 Applicant must have strong technical writing and communication skills, must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, have mechanical aptitude, should be willing to perform or work toward project/technical management roles, and. Must be proactive with strong initiative and follow through, detail oriented, and capable of working both independently and in a team environment.

 Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.

 Project Geologist or Engineer – Environmental and Engineering Geology projects

 Description

Full-time Geologist or Engineer position to support Environmental, Civil Works and Military projects and programs. Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates a variety of project tasks.  Performs work which involves conventional environmental, geologic and hydrogeologic practices but may involve a variety of complex features, field work, and working with other disciplines. Requires general familiarity with basic principles and practices in related specialties.

 Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Geology (Geological Engineering or Geology preferred) or closely related engineering field from accredited program. Current Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Professional Geologist (PG) registration preferred. At minimum, the ability to obtain PE/PG registration is required. Graduate school a plus. Travel related to meetings with clients, stakeholders, research, and field work will be required.  Should have experience with several of the following computer programs (AutoCad, Project, ArcGIS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, geologic modelling software).

 A successful applicant will have 5-10 years’ experience in an Engineering, or Geology field. Preference will be given to applicants with subsurface or hydrological focus/experience, geological core logging experience, or experience working alongside sonic, direct-push, or rotary drilling equipment in an oversight capacity. Experience related to environmental or geotechnical sampling a plus.

 Applicant must have strong technical writing and communication skills, must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, have mechanical aptitude, should be willing to perform or work toward project/technical management roles, and Must be proactive with strong initiative and follow through, detail oriented, and capable of working both independently and in a team environment.

 Environmental Field Technician – Environmental and Engineering Geology projects

 Description

Full-time Environmental Field Technician position to support Environmental, Civil Works and Military projects and programs. Conducts and coordinates a variety of project tasks for various company projects. Position will also require laboratory maintenance, shipping/receiving of samples, and inventory of M&TE in addition to environmental sampling for various media.

 Qualifications

Experience related to environmental or geotechnical sampling a plus, but not required. Some travel for field services project work will be required.  

 Applicant must have strong communication skills, must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, have mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail. Must be proactive with strong initiative and follow through, detail oriented, and capable of working both independently and in a team environment.

 Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance and successfully complete a physical, background check and pre-employment drug screen.
