Quality Assurance Specialist
Kevil, Kentucky

GEO is looking for a Full Time Quality Assurance Specialist position to support Environmental, Civil Works and Military Projects. 

What you will do:

  • Follow, develop, revise, manage, and track current and new processes and procedures to drive continuous improvement and execution of new directives.
  • Quality Program execution as required by customer contracts.
  • Independently, under minimal supervision, ensure organization is in compliance with current and relevant quality programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Drive collaboration with internal and external customers and employees, satellite offices, joint venture partners and teaming partners.

Position Requirements and Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 5+ years of previous experience; experience in a service or consulting industry is preferred.
  • Quality Management System (QMS) experience is required; ISO experience is heavily favored.
  • Audit the organization’s processes to ensure compliance with both internal and external regulations and standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement of core processes to ensure quality is maintained while efficiency is optimized.
  • Draft, interpret and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Perform and document internal and external audits and other quality assurance activities.
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the quality system and facilitate, develop, recommend, and/or monitor corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
  • Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards.
  • Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Monitor risk management activities.
  • Responsible for quality management systems.
  • Utilize the following computer programs, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word/Excel/ PowerPoint/Adobe Acrobat, and other project programs as required.

Project Engineer (Civil/Geotech)
League City, Texas

GEO is looking for a Full Time Project Engineer (Civil/Geotech) position to support Environmental, Civil Works and Military Projects. 

What you will do:

  • Perform work in accordance of applicable design codes, federal and state guidelines and requirements, and other technical contract requirements.
  • Collaborate with employees, satellite offices, customers, joint venture partners, and teaming partners.
  • Interact directly with Engineers, Safety, Human Resources, and Quality team members.
  • Support section leads and other engineering staff in execution of project deliverables.
  • Support Project Management execution as required by customer contracts.
  • Perform as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in your discipline and/or sub-discipline to ensure current and relevant technical excellence and quality deliverables.
  • Prepare engineering markups for ACAD/Graphics team to develop project design drawings, to include: site plans, grading & drainage plans, plan & profiles, utility plans, drainage basins, water/sewer networks, cross-sections, and applicable details.
  • Prepare, draft, and/or author reports, documents, and design drawings as applicable to meet project requirements.
  • Perform design calculations/analysis and/or field work as required to meet project requirements.
  • Follow procedures and manage current processes to drive continuous improvement in new directives.
  • Participate in quality and technical reviews, assurances, and surveillances.
  • Support proposal development as required.
  • Other duties as assigned based upon additional project needs.

Position Requirements and Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited University with minimum 5 years experience in field of discipline, or
  • Bachelors of Art in Engineering Technology from an ABET Accredited University with a minimum of 10 years experience in field of discipline.
  • Professional development training and certifications to support GEO, customer, and industry requirements.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred; ability to obtain PE required.
  • Proactive with strong initiative and follow through, detail oriented, and required to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with civil surveying and engineering design standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Utilize the following computer programs, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Project, Adobe Acrobat, and other discipline specific or project related programs as required to support project deliverables.
  • Meet GEO and site-specific fit for duty physical requirements, as well as obtain any additional medical clearances (i.e. DOT, HAZWOPER) as required to support GEO projects).
  • Must have ability to obtain security clearances, as required.
